Grandmothers Message: Call to Mend the Net of Light

The Grandmothers recently said that due to human ignorance and misunderstanding, at present there are rips and gouges in the Net of Light that holds the earth. Since it is the Net of Light that will hold the earth steady during the times of radical change that are upon us, this is a serious problem. In some places the Net is indistinct and weak and in others, it is actually torn. However, the Grandmothers tell us that whatever has been harmed by human beings must and can be mended by us.

Last weekend we held a workshop in Laguna Beach on mending the tears in the Net of Light and since then I have heard from people in different parts of the world who want to be part of this work with the Net. So today I asked the Grandmothers how everyone could work directly on mending the rips in the Net of Light. What follows is the explanation and directions they gave.

"This work is not complex," they said, "it is simple." Then they told me to, "Put what we tell you in the newsletter so people can begin. And if they want to do more, they can later have an intensified experience of this in a workshop.

"If possible," they said, "do this work in a group as group energy greatly magnifies the work for you and for the planet. The power, for example, that goes out when two of you are gathered is by far greater than two times one, and because of this multiplication of power, doing this work in a group will make it enormously effective. Most of you who read our newsletter are well aware of the danger the world is in now and want to be of help. We assure you that this is a way you can help.

"First gather, pray, sing, or meditate together," they said, "in order to lift the vibration of your group. As you do this, be clear that the purpose of your gathering is to connect with the Net of Light in a healing way. Once you have established a peaceful, lighted atmosphere, , then call on us and each one of you ask us what you can do to mend the weakened and wounded places in the Net of Light. The Net needs strengthening now in order to do the work for which it was designed-that of lifting, steadying and holding the planet and all forms of life on the planet.

Next, ask us to take you to a place or condition on earth that needs loving care. We will take you to only one place and that one will be your special project. You will find that this project will have a special resonance for you. This is because the wound or weakness in this particular place within the Net of Light will relate to a wound that in some way you share. And because of this, the work will heal you as well as mend the Net of Light.

We remind you that work like this is selfless. And what we mean by 'selfless' is, this work is absent of the small, individual self. It is done by and for the ALL, and that includes, but is not limited to, you. So as you perform this work with the Net of Light, should you find that you have a corresponding need, weakness, or hurt within yourself, how much better for the planet and for you. In doing this work you will inevitably grow in wisdom and understanding while your compassion for all beings who suffer will swell.

Ask us to show you how to lovingly care for this place or situation on the Net of Light and then hold it in your mind and heart. Ask to see the greatest good possible for it and then let it be flooded it with love. As you hold it and make this request, observe what happens. Take your time and simply notice what you see and feel.

Spend only five minutes or so on this project, and when you have finished, take paper and draw what you've seen and learned about this formerly wounded place. After that, put your drawings up where you can all see them and then share your vision and what you learned as you took part in this work. Here is another advantage to working in a group. When you do something like this and then share it with one another, your learning is amplified hundreds of times over.

When you have finished sharing your learning, then meditate together on the Net of Light, magnifying its ever-increasing power to hold, bless and steady all life on earth. And as you do this, be aware of how the Net of Light is at the same time holding, blessing and steadying you.
