Message from the Grandmothers

I had been asking the Grandmothers about the changes I and others had been going through and had been doing a bit of complaining --telling them how difficult it was to go through so much so fast. They listened to me, nodded their heads in understanding and then surprised me by saying , "You are growing a new skin. It is a ONE skin," they said. "A unity skin that covers everything. This new skin will bind you to the whole," they explained, but don't worry. It will not bind you to the painful conscousness of individual people, but will bind you to the whole.

"Shedding the miserable prison of individual, separate consciousness and moving into identifying with the consciousness of the whole is the difference between watching the same movie over and over again for the rest of your life as opposed to moving freely through the great variety that life presents. "

What they were saying sounded good to me and I quickly asked them, "How can we do this? How can we move out of that sense of separation you're talking about and into knowing we are all one. I mean really knowing it," I said. "There is nothing you need to do," they said, "and really, there is nothing you can do. What will happen is this," they explained. "You will gradually become tired of the repetition of daily drama in your life, tired of the sameness brought on by your attachments and the roles youplay. Not everyone will become tired of this," they said, "because not everyone is evolving at the same rate, Nor should they be," they added. "But as certain ones become disenchanted with the drama of anger, fear and despair and disenchanted with their fleeting attachments to one sensation or another, their energy will begin to shift. If you ride the roller coaster of life long enough," they said, " you will start to wonder, 'is there anything beyond this roller coaster?' That question will loosen your attachment to your sense of a separate self , causing you to become interested in something beyond the state of separation from God and man. That is all it takes," the Grandmothers said, "because of course the answer to 'Is there something beyond this roller coaster?' is Yes! And when you become interested in what lies beyond, what lies beyond will begin to reveal itself.

This is not something that will happen in one moment," they said. " This is what is meant by the term, 'growing in consciousness.' A great part of our mission," the Grandmothers said, "is in helping you grow beyond the limits of that state of separation from the whole, in helping you get beyond the dance of duality." They chuckled to themselves as they thought about this and said, "The duality dance....the place where you never feel you're quite enough." Then they shook their heads and said, "This is really quite funny, because you are enough. You are more than enough," they pronounced.

"You don't feel the same now as you did in the past because you are not the same. At this time the people, places, ideas and identities within your life are shifting. This is as it should be," they said. "Let yourself bob around in this new space for a while. Float in it. We understand that with all this change you feel insecure at times," they said, " but you are about to come to the true security of your being. You are coming to the truth. Another way of saying this is, 'You are growing into greatness. And remember," they said, No matter what changes you go through, no matter what appears to be dropping away from you, we are always here," they said. "We are here with you now," and as I listened to their words, I felt myself rolled into one with them. "Wow!" I whispered to myself.
