Message from the Grandmothers
March 2008
For the past few days I hadn't felt good and all I wanted to do was
take a nice hot bath and get into bed. I had been looking forward to that,
but no sooner did I get into that welcoming water than the Grandmothers
began to talk to me. They had something to say and they wanted to say it
now. No matter how I tried to put them off so i could soak a little while
longer, they would not be denied. They were talking about the Gathering
of the Grandmothers coming up March 7-9 and I realized I wanted to hear
what they had to say. Finally I gave up, got out of the water and gave
them my full attention.
"Okay, Grandmothers, I said at last, "I'm all yours. So tell
me," I said, "what's the potential for this large Gathering
of the Grandmothers coming up?" I didn't bother asking about the
purpose of the gathering because I knew it was a good one. It was its
potential that interested me.
"There is great potential in gatherings like this one,"
they answered. "Great potential. When you come together like this,
you do so with a purposeful intention; you come for a good purpose."
Then nodding their heads up and down and smiling broadly, they added,
"The Divine will always support you when you have a pure and
purposeful intention.
"In the case of the Gathering of the Grandmothers that will
occur in March," they said, "many who are truly dedicated to
serving Mother Earth and helping one another are coming together with
this express purpose in mind. The purity of your intention and the energy
of your shared commitment will rise up far above the facility where you
will meet," they said. "What?
Grandmothers?" I asked. What, I wondered did they mean. "It
will be seen for thousands of miles," they explained, nodding
sagely. Then they pointed behind me and when I turned around, I saw an
enormous mountain of light floating above the inn where the Gathering
is scheduled to take place. This, I understood, was what they meant.
"The message that is drawing you together for this Gathering is a
basically unselfish one and the quality of unselfishness is a great rarity
on earth now," they said, shaking their heads sadly. "Whenever
you gather together in order to serve the greater good, the entire
universe stands up in support of you," they said. Thrilled by their
words, I looked at them in surprise and tears started in my eyes.
"Women who lead Grandmothers groups around the world do so for
the most part from a pure motive," the Grandmothers said. "They
want to help," they gestured, opening their arms wide. "They are
happy to give and receive love," they continued. "We rejoice
when we see a purpose like this!" they said and each Grandmother
raised her fist in triumph. "You have no idea the rejoicing there is
in heaven when one such person steps forward and offers herself/himself in
service. We are happy when you come together," they said. "We
are very, very happy," they added, grinning from ear to ear, and
by this time the tears were running down my cheeks.
"There will be more and more gatherings like this one-both large
ones and smaller ones," they said. "The time has now come for
the loving, holding force of the feminine principle to step forward and
be recognized. To be recognized and honored," they emphasized.
"Life on earth needs its Mother now and at last She
has come," the Grandmothers said, speaking softly and
powerfully. "The work you are doing is ushering her in,"
they said, and added, "we rejoice in you and with you.
"We ask that you feel our presence with you whenever you gather
together like this," they said, and as they spoke I was aware that
they were speaking through me to everyone. "We love you deeply,"
they continued, "and we take joy in working with and through you. We
ask you to take this same joy in yourselves, to own this joy and live in
it," they said. And turning to me with radiant smiles, they said,
"The time has come when together we shall do great things."
I gasped at their words and stared at them goggled eyed, but they
weren't finished yet. "We are delighted that so many of you have
decided to come along on the ride with us," they laughed. "The
time is now," they said and then each Grandmother crooked a finger
at me, threw back her head and cried, "Let's go!"
