Message from the Grandmothers
January 2007 (1)
A purer channel for the Divine
When I asked the Grandmothers what they wanted me to communicate to
the group who would be meeting soon at my home, they said, How to
be a purer channel. This is what you have been wanting for them--
to be a purer channel, more potent, to live more in alignment, to be a
greater force for truth and good in the world. There is only one way to
do that,” they said. “There’s ONLY
one way to do that and that is to align themselves with the Divine. This
is why we have come.
“We understand how over the years religion has become
manipulated by people,” they said. “At
its worst, religion has become a series of power systems and pecking
orders. Often these systems are run by fear tactics and worse. This is
something the human mind does. Unfortunately, when the egoic mind grabs
hold of a pure concept, it changes, perverts and lessens it. There
is still beauty and truth in the world’s religions,”
they said. “That is true. But so much has
been lost and manipulated over the years that the original purity has
suffered.
“This is why, from time to time, the Divine shows up
on earth in a new way—to once again show the clear path. The
clear path is very simple,” the Grandmothers laughed,
“and all the religions of the world show this path until
it becomes so overlaid by rules and regulations, (do this, not that,
turn left and then right)…all the paraphernalia that the egoic
mind hangs on the original pure teaching. After this layering has gone
one for a while you can no longer see the path.
“Now that the word is once again in grievous peril, the
Divine has come. It has come in the form of Sathya Sai Baba, it has
come in the form of Mother Mira. There is one Pooner avatar and many
lesser avatars on earth now. Many, many way-showers are here now. The
Dahli Lama, Ammachi, and many who you have never heard of are here. We
have also have come at this time and there are many who will resonate
to the form that we have taken, the form of the Great Council of the
Grandmothers. All who have come at this time have done so to remind
you of the way home. The way home is to constantly think of and call
on the Divine. Let yourself become so soaked in the presence of the
Divine that you yourself become divinity. That is what you are,”
they emphasized. “In truth, you are divine, but all the overlays
of the egoic mind and the mass mind of your culture cut you off from
who you are. We have come to plug you back in to your source.
“To become a force on earth, not fodder for the mass
mind bullying that moves things around to suit itself, and stand in
truth, radiating love out from your being, the only thing you need to
do to is call on us constantly. If you do, your life will change so
much,” the Grandmothers laughed; “it will
become almost unrecognizable to you.”
“You will have peace and happiness
within. Steadiness,” they said. “What
we urge you to do is simple; it is not complex. But…”
they paused, “it is not easy-- BECAUSE of the
mind. Your mind wishes to convince you of how important it is. It wants
to fascinate you with diversions in order to keep you away from that
steady place within. This is how the mind operates,” they
said. “So we remind you to turn your thoughts to us. Think
of us now,” they said. “Take this moment
to call on us or any form of the Divine you love. Think of us. Feel us,
and as soon as you call on us, we will surround you. We will flank you,
protect you and hold you in our love.
“Let yourself be held like this,” they
said. “Feel us holding you and as you do, become aware
of your back and of the center of your chest. We will fill your core
and awaken you to who you are,” they said.
“You are one with us.
“You walk around inside a particular body and perform certain
roles. This fools you into thinking that this is what you are. These
roles are only parts you are playing now. The truth is, you are one
with us. Not only we, but you also have the long view of life, the
great view. When you turn within as you are at this moment, you are
filled with wisdom. We have mentioned before that the world is set up
as a big distracting machine, one that constantly pulls your attention
outward. ‘Oh, look at this!’ it says. ‘You’d
better worry about that. Don’t you feel bad about this event? Oh,
my…,’ it goes on and on. ‘Oh, the horror!’
it exclaims. ‘Oh, the excitement!’
“Distraction is constant. It is constant,”
they emphasized. “But you have a still center
point. Remember that and feel it. Rest at the center point,”
they said. A line from an old hymn, ‘Restore us in
our rightful minds,’ ran through my brain and I realized that
what the Grandmothers were describing is the rightful
mind. “You are coming home,” they
said. “You are turning within to the core of your being,
to the changeless wisdom and love that you are. You are an embodiment
of love.
“When you greet one another, (if you are aware and
awake),” they said, “this is the
one you are greeting. You are greeting the inviolate soul within each
one. Namaste,” they said. “I salute the
divinity within you. The egoic mind likes to rush ahead; it likes to
chatter. It is either in a hurry or it is depressed and beating you up
about how awful life is. But this steady place within you is real. It
is changeless. The core of your being existed before you were born and
will be with you long after this body dies. This is who you are,”
they said.
“When you come out of this meditation and open your
eyes, be silent,” they said. “If you hold
silence for 3 or 4 minutes, you may become aware of how much your egoic
mind is accustomed to running your life. It is ever busy, urging you
to chase after one thing or another.
“That’s all right,” the Grandmothers
said. “That is simply what the mind does. But you do not
have to go along with it. Hold silence now, no matter what the mind is
chattering about and then slowly look around the room at one another. As
you look, see past any personal or societal masks to the place within
her and him. Then bow slightly and namaste. ‘I salute the divinity
within you,” they said. This is what you are
doing.
“You are beginning to settle into the home place
where you belong. This place will effortlessly step you into your
power and align you with the reality of who you are. This is where
you are needed now. Because of the present crisis on earth,”
they said, “ you are needed to occupy this space
within. Namaste.” |
